Job Description:
Associate Solicitor | Personal Injury | 5+ Years’ PQE
Glasgow | Hybrid Working
If you’re a Scottish-qualified Personal Injury Solicitor with five years’ PQE or more and enjoy combining complex casework with leading people, this is an opportunity to step into an associate-level position within a growing accident claims practice based in Glasgow.
The role offers a blend of supervising a busy team and retaining your own caseload of higher-value matters, making it ideal for someone who enjoys responsibility, commercial decision-making and playing a visible part in a team’s success.
What’s on offer
*Associate-level role with team supervision responsibilities
*Varied and high-value caseload including RTA, EL/PL, vehicle damage and hire claims
*25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays and an additional day off for your birthday
*Opportunity to contribute to wider business growth and strategic initiatives
*Supportive, fast-moving environment with scope to shape working practices
The role
You’ll supervise and support a team of solicitors and paralegals handling a broad caseload of accident and personal injury claims, providing guidance on liability, causation and quantum. Alongside this, you’ll manage your own caseload, focusing on more complex or higher-value matters.
The role involves leading negotiations with insurers and opposing solicitors, reviewing court documents, carrying out regular file reviews, and ensuring compliance with Scottish civil litigation procedures and pre-action protocols. You’ll also mentor junior lawyers, manage client expectations, and help maintain high standards of client care and file quality across the team.
About you
This role would suit an Associate Solicitor who:
*Is Scottish-qualified with 5+ years’ PQE
*Has solid experience in personal injury litigation, including RTA and EL/PL work
*Has experience of Sheriff Court procedure
*Brings leadership experience or a clear appetite to manage and develop others
*Is commercially aware and comfortable working to financial targets
*Communicates clearly with clients, colleagues and insurers
*Takes a proactive, solutions-focused approach
*Is confident using digital case management systems
Experience in credit hire work and Court of Session procedure would be beneficial but not essential.
The environment
You’ll be joining a modern and expanding practice where senior lawyers are trusted with autonomy and encouraged to influence how teams operate. The culture values accountability, development and quality client care, giving experienced solicitors the platform to progress and take ownership.
