Join a well-established Gloucestershire law firm with offices in Stroud and Gloucester in a senior leadership opportunity within a thriving Company Commercial department, offering the chance to shape strategy, develop a high-performing team, and play a central role in the firm’s continued growth.
The role:
This is a key role where you will take ownership of the Company Commercial department.
*Set and deliver the strategic vision for the department
*Lead, mentor and develop a team
*Manage a high-quality caseload including M&A, shareholder agreements, commercial contracts, restructures, joint ventures and governance matters
*Act as a trusted advisor to SMEs, owner-managed businesses and high-value commercial clients
*Drive business development activity
*Play a central role in firm-wide strategy
What experience is required:
*Qualified Solicitor circa 8+ years PQE in company commercial or corporate law
*Proven experience managing complex transactional and advisory matters
*Strong track record in business development and generating new client work
*Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers or legal teams
*Commercially astute with strong strategic and operational thinking skills
*Ambition to take on a senior leadership role and make a significant impact at firm level
