Financial Accounting Lead

Overview
This role offers the opportunity to join an impressive organisation in a senior finance capacity, sitting in the centre of the finance function. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial information while supporting senior stakeholders and leading a high performing team.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead financial reporting activities
*Own the production and review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial outputs
*Review group profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow information
*Manage, mentor and develop a qualified finance team
*Act as a key finance contact for senior stakeholders and external advisors
*Support audit processes and ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards
*Drive continuous improvement across reporting processes, controls and governance
*Contribute to ad-hoc finance projects and change initiatives as required
Candidate Profile
*ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified with strong post qualification experience
*Demonstrable experience of financial reporting
*Comfortable working to tight deadlines in complex, fast-paced environments
*Strong technical accounting knowledge with a pragmatic, commercial mindset
*Proven experience leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders
*Detail oriented, delivery focused and improvement driven
