Job Description:
Our client, based in Surrey, is currently recruiting for a Youth Opportunity Officer on a permanent contract.
This is a part time position offering 21 hours a week.
The position is due to start immediately. The salary for this position is £18,420.19 (FTE £32,454).
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a background working in social housing, specifically with the elderly and hold an Enhanced DBS taken out within the last three years.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Supporting a group of 6 residents, encouraging them into physical activity
*Assisting residents with CVs and encouraging them into employment
*Promoting key life skills
*Building positive relationships with residents to support their personal development and wellbeing
*Signposting residents to external services such as training, education, and employment opportunities
*Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records to track outcomes and support needs
Skills, knowledge and experience required:
*NVQ level 2 in social housing, social work or youth work
Working hours:
*21 hours per week
*Monday – Friday (potential for flexibility on hours / days)
