The Role
*An established manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Night Shift Maintenance Engineer to support a high-precision production environment.
*The role is fully nights and plays a key part in ensuring machinery reliability, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvement across site.
*This is a hands-on position suited to an engineer comfortable working autonomously on nights while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
*Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across CNC and manufacturing equipment
*Respond to breakdowns and perform fault-finding to minimise downtime
*Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults
*Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
*Ensure all work complies with health & safety procedures, including isolations and permits
*Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to root cause analysis
Equipment & Environment
*CNC machinery (lathes, mills, machining centres)
*Automated and semi-automated production equipment
*Precision manufacturing / machining environment
About You
*Proven experience in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment
*Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., Indentured Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering.
*Strong mechanical background with electrical fault-finding capability
*PPM and Breakdown/Reactive maintenance experience
*Experience assembling complex mechanical assemblies.
*Experience optimising processes and procedures to improve output.
*Experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting machinery.
*Experience maintaining CNC and automated machinery
*Comfortable working independently on a night shift
*Recognised engineering qualification (mechanical, electrical or multi-skilled)
