Management Accountant – Construction Sector | Hybrid | COINS Experience Required
Location: Kettering | Hybrid (4 days office / 1 day home)
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000

About the Role
We are recruiting a Management Accountant for a growing construction and infrastructure business. This is a hands-on role where you will support the Head of Finance in rebuilding and improving the finance function.
You will take ownership of management accounts, month-end processes, and reporting improvements while working closely with operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
*Journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
*Preparation of monthly management accounts within a 5–7 day close cycle
*Supporting finance operations (AP, AR, credit control)
*Improving reporting processes and financial controls
*Working within COINS construction accounting software
*Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and commercial reporting
*Driving improvements in Excel-based financial models
What We’re Looking For*Part-qualified accountant or equivalent experience
*1–2 years+ experience in management accounting
*Strong Excel capability
*Experience in construction, housebuilding, or infrastructure finance (highly desirable)
*COINS system experience (essential or highly preferred)
*Strong understanding of month-end close processes
*Ability to work in a fast-changing, developing finance environment
Personal Attributes*Confident, proactive, and self-motivated
*Strong communicator with a hands-on approach
*Ambitious with clear career progression goals
*Comfortable working in a traditional but evolving business
