Job Description:
Commercial Finance Manager, Gaming Studio & Publisher, up to £65,000 plus benefits
Analytical & future focused role in a growing gaming business. You will work as part of a 6-person team, and be the ’commercial lead’, partnering with the SLT on revenue generating initiatives. Routinely produce the monthly board pack & own the budgeting, forecasting & reforecasting cycles.
After a recent acquisition by a mid-cap listed group, there is an opportunity to carve out a role which could also lead to M&A exposure of both studios and independents.
Key responsibilities include:
*Provision of regular management information to support decision making within the senior leadership team
*Own the annual budgeting, and periodic forecasting & reforecasting
*Work alongside the COO & Head of Finance, with the day to day running of the team
*Improve the finance & data visualisation tools available to the business
*Work alongside the commercial team to identify new trends, markets and potential acquisition opportunities
This is a highly commercial opportunity, which doesn’t necessarily require a fully qualified accountant. It is essential you have gaming experience, or a genuine passion and deep understanding of the sector from a consumer perspective. You must have experience in a similar standalone commercial finance role, be a genuine person, who can build relationships with all kinds of people. You must also have experience of enhancing systems to enable better data analysis and storytelling. The preference is for someone to start quickly but we can also consider candidates with a notice period.
