Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Logistics Operator for a well-established Freight Forwarder based in the Manchester area.
Duties:-
*Prepare manual or scanned entry packing lists.
*Prepare orders for dispatch.
*Prepare weekly stock checks.
*Ensure all orders are ordered and booked accurately.
*Accountable for looking after customer’s specific requirements.
*Produce and send packing lists to customers.
*Ensure customer record reporting is kept up to date at all times and effective customer communication is maintained.
*Arrange deliveries for storage accounts.
*Create monthly invoices for storage accounts.
*Record stock locations and work closely with Warehouse Assistants to ensure goods are correctly located.
*Manage Key Accounts where required.
*Propose new ideas to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Skills Needed:-
*Previous experience within logistics or warehouse operations.
*Good understanding of logistics processes and procedures.
*Strong organisational and administrative skills.
*High attention to detail and accuracy.
*Strong communication skills.
*Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively.
