Job Description:
The role acts as the Trust’s competent person for Health & Safety and works closely with senior leaders, managers, and frontline services.
Key Focus Areas
*Health & Safety compliance across multiple sites and services
*Incident reporting, investigation and learning (including RIDDOR)
*Risk assessments, audits and risk register management
*Data analysis, reporting and assurance to senior stakeholders
*Policy review and regulatory liaison
*Supporting and embedding a positive safety culture
Essential Experience
*NEBOSH (or equivalent) and strong professional H&S background
*CMIOSH or working towards Chartered status
*Proven NHS or complex healthcare Health & Safety experience
*Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation
*Confident engaging with senior leaders and regulators
*Able to work independently at pace and manage competing priorities
Logistics
*Immediate availability required
*Must be able to travel independently (own vehicle)
*AFC-aligned travel and subsistence paid
