Job Description:
Are you a detail-oriented and motivated Finance/Accounts Assistant looking for your next move? We’re working with a well-established family run local business within a busy commercial environment, offering a fantastic opportunity to join their Accounts team in a varied and hands-on role.
The RoleAs an Accounts Assistant, you will support the smooth running of financial operations across multiple areas, including ledgers, reconciliations, and reporting. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of accounting processes within a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities*Processing invoices, credit notes, and receipts across sales and purchase ledgers
*Carrying out credit control activities and credit checks
*Reconciling purchase ledger payments for approval
*Managing cash book entries and performing bank reconciliations
*Supporting costing processes
*Generating and processing sales ledger invoices and applications for payment
*Using accounting systems such as Sage (training provided)
About You*Previous experience in a similar accounts or finance role
*Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
*Good understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*High attention to detail with a methodical, logical approach
*Positive work ethic with the ability to meet deadlines
