We are working with a small, friendly, and growing business based in Hitchin, looking for a reliable and detail-focused Accounts Assistant to support our day-to-day financial operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied accounts role and is looking for part-time, flexible work within a supportive environment.
Role Overview: We are seeking an organised and experienced Accounts person to manage our bookkeeping, payroll, banking, and invoicing processes. You will play a key role in keeping our financial records accurate and up to date, ensuring smooth operations across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
*Process weekly and monthly payroll accurately
*Manage accounts payable and receivable
*Raise, send, and track invoices
*Reconcile bank accounts and maintain financial records
*Prepare basic financial reports for management
*Handle expenses, receipts, and supplier payments
*Support general administrative finance tasks as required
Requirements:
*Previous experience in an accounts or bookkeeping role
*Strong understanding of payroll processes
*Confident with invoicing, banking, and financial administration
*Good working knowledge of accounting software ideally Sage 200
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
*Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
*Friendly, trustworthy, and comfortable working in a small team environment
