Job DescriptionWe are seeking a reliable and compassionate School Cook to join a specialist SEN school in Ormskirk. You will prepare and serve nutritious meals for pupils with a range of additional needs, ensuring all dietary, sensory, and medical requirements are met in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities*Prepare and cook healthy, balanced meals in line with school standards
*Cater for allergies, intolerances, and specialist diets
*Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety
*Manage stock, deliveries, and food storage
*Work collaboratively with school staff to support pupils’ needs
*Help create a calm and positive mealtime experience
Requirements*Previous cooking experience (school, care, or similar setting preferred)
*Level 2 Food Hygiene (or willingness to obtain)
*Understanding of dietary needs and allergens
*A patient, flexible, and team-focused approach
*Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
