Quality Lab Analyst
Location: Kirriemuir
Pay Rate: £14.30 per hour
Shift Pattern: Double day shifts
Job Type: Full-time


Overview

This is a great opportunity to step into a key role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment where quality, consistency and continuous improvement are genuinely valued.


This role would suit someone who enjoys a mix of laboratory testing, problem-solving and collaboration with production teams, and who wants to develop their experience within a structured quality environment.


Key Responsibilities
*Carry out routine and specialised laboratory testing on yarn, loomstate, dyed and coated fabrics
*Ensure results meet internal and customer specifications, escalating issues where necessary
*Accurately record test results and maintain laboratory documentation for audit purposes
*Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability
*Raise and support non-conformances and corrective actions
*Work closely with production teams to provide real-time quality feedback
*Support ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 audits and continuous improvement activities
*Assist with new product trials and preparation of customer samples
*Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures within the laboratory

Experience & Skills Required
*Previous experience in a quality, laboratory or manufacturing environment (textiles preferred)
*Experience working within ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 standards
*Good understanding of manufacturing processes
*Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Clear communication skills and a proactive approach
*Awareness of 5S standards and good housekeeping practices
