Warehouse Manager - Heathrow
About the Role
We are seeking an organised, proactive, and hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Heathrow warehouse. You will be responsible for managing a team of 4-5 warehouse staff, ensuring efficient workflow, accurate stock control, and a safe working environment. A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) licence is essential for this role, as you will lead by example and support operational tasks when required.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage, motivate, and support a team of 4-5 warehouse operatives.
*Oversee daily warehouse operations including goods-in, goods-out, and internal stock movements.
*Load and unload vehicles using a forklift (FLT licence required).
*Ensure accurate checking, recording, and storage of incoming deliveries.
*Oversee picking, packing, and preparation of orders for dispatch.
*Conduct regular stock checks, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate stock records.
*Maintain a safe, organised, and compliant warehouse environment.
*Manage warehouse documentation and support stock booking processes.
*Liaise with couriers, drivers, and suppliers to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
*Monitor performance, provide training, and ensure high operational standards across the team.
*Ensure all warehouse equipment is operated safely and in line with company procedures.
Skills & Experience Required
*Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or management role.
*Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (essential).
*Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
*Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a small team.
*Confident working independently and making operational decisions.
*Basic IT skills for stock systems and documentation.
*Good understanding of warehouse health & safety procedures.
