Job Description:
SEN Teaching Assistant
We are seeking for dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team and support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Location: Barnsley & Rotherham
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Flexible
Salary: Competitive Rate
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
About the Role:
*Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
*Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and adapting materials to meet individual needs.
*Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
*Support pupils with personal care and mobility where required.
*Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
Requirements:
*Previous experience working with children with SEN (desirable but not essential).
*A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
*Strong communication and teamwork skills.
*Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a positive and constructive manner.
*Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are advantageous.
