Job Title: HGV Automotive Engineering Assessor / Tutor

Location: Cheshire based

Salary: £38,400 - £42,400 (inclusive of car allowance) - salary depending on qualifications and experience

Type: Full Time, Permanent 37 hours per week

Essential Criteria (for all candidates):
*Must hold solid, occupational competency within the Heavy Automotive Engineering and Maintenance sector.
*Must have a working knowledge of Automotive Engineering for HGV and trailers.
*Must have experience within Teaching / Assessing / Training (full training and support will be provided to achieve the Teaching and Assessing qualifications)
*Hold a recognised qualification in Vehicle Mechanics at Level 3 or above.
*Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
*Ideally have an understanding of Apprenticeship programmes.
*Must be flexible with travel.
Duties:
*Assess/mentor learners working towards Apprenticeships in Bus and Coach Engineering, Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician.
*Meet Assessor KPI’s in terms of timely visits, quality paperwork and general administration.
*Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
*Organise and maintain documentation on learners’ progress.
*Support, advise and motivate learners.
*Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
Personal Skills:
*Must be an excellent communicator who is learner and quality focused.
*Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively
*Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people
*Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners
