The Business
This is a manufacturing business supplying finished products directly into customer-facing environments, where delivery, quality and responsiveness are critical. The site operates at pace, requiring strong organisation and clear leadership to keep everything on track.
The Role
As Operations Manager, you will oversee a single site producing a range of products in a fast turnaround environment.
*Lead and manage 5 direct reports across the operation
*Oversee production across 5 product lines with tight lead times
*Ensure output, quality and delivery targets are consistently met
*Stay close to the shop floor, supporting and guiding the team day to day
*Use ERP systems, Excel and Power BI to monitor and improve performance
*Drive continuous improvement and implement practical changes
The Person
To succeed as Operations Manager, you need to be organised, credible and comfortable being hands-on.
*Proven experience as an Operations Manager within manufacturing
*Strong ERP system experience is essential
*Advanced Excel skills and experience using Power BI
*Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
*Strong people leadership with experience training, coaching and developing teams
*Hands-on approach with a visible presence on the shop floor
