SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Preston (PR1)
Start Date: May 2026
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:45am – 3:30pm)
Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour
Duration: Until July 2026
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Preston. This full-time role will involve supporting a Year 4 pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they have the tailored support needed to thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide 1:1 and small group support for a child with SEN.
*Assist the class teacher in delivering adaptive learning strategies.
*Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
*Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
What We’re Looking For:
*Experience supporting children with SEN in a primary school setting is desirable but not essential.
*Candidates with backgrounds in support work, behaviour management, SEMH support, or care work are strongly encouraged to apply – your skills are highly transferable!
*A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children’s needs.
