Paraplanner role with up to £45,000 basic, very attractive benefits and scope to work from home, working 2 days from the office on a lovely and supportive work culture. This is a role for a paraplanner who genuinely cares about the quality of advice and excels in and loves the process of producing it and enjoys working from home and from the office.

This paraplanning role sits at the heart of the financial advice process. You will work closely with Financial Advisers, providing technical expertise, robust analysis and structured support that ensures clients receive holistic advice that is not only compliant, but genuinely right for them.

Your role as a Paraplanner:
As a Paraplanner, you’ll play a critical role in the delivery of holistic financial planning, supporting Financial Advisers and clients through complex, often high-value financial planning needs.
You will be trusted to operate with autonomy, professionalism and technical confidence, acting as a cornerstone of the advice process.
This role offers hybrid working with a Birmingham city-centre head office and a structured office presence that supports collaboration and flexibility. You will be in the office 2 days a week to bond and share best practice with your team of like-minded Paraplanners.
What you will be doing:
Your work will focus on technical quality, evidence-based advice and strong client outcomes, including:
*Producing high-quality suitability reports, technical analysis and structured recommendations
*Conducting detailed research and complex financial modelling
*Supporting advice across areas such as:
*estate planning
*retirement and at-retirement planning
*pension switching
*investment replacement analysis
*Building robust, fully evidenced client case files
*Supporting Financial Advisers with technically complex cases and talking with them over video as well as via email and on the telephone
*Ensuring advice meets regulatory expectations and internal governance standards
*Maintaining accurate systems, records and documentation
*Supporting advisers with application preparation and client documentation
*Acting as a technical point of reference for complex planning scenarios
*Contributing to service standards, quality assurance and continuous improvement
About you
This role is ideal for someone who brings both technical strength and loves paraplanning!
You will have:
*Experience in paraplanning or previous experience as a Financial Adviser
*Either Level 4 Diploma in Financial Advice (or equivalent), or starting to work towards it
*Strong technical capability in complex planning areas
*Experience writing quality suitability reports
*Confidence handling complex client scenarios
*Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills
*Excellent attention to detail
*Confidence working across multiple systems and platforms
*The ability to communicate clearly with advisers and colleagues
*A calm, organised and professional working style
*A self-motivated, proactive mindset with strong personal standards
