SEN Teaching Assistant - Lambeth
Location: Lambeth (near Tulse Hill / West Norwood)
Start Date: 5th May 2026
Contract: Full-time | Summer Term (with potential extension)
Pay: £95-£110 per day
Setting: Mainstream Primary (SEN Support)
The Role & SchoolA welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Tulse Hill area of Lambeth is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from 5th May 2026.
This role will involve supporting pupils with additional needs across KS1 and KS2, with a particular focus on children with autism, ADHD and speech & language needs. You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide both one-to-one support and small group interventions.
The school has a strong reputation for its inclusive practice and nurturing approach. There are clear routines, a calm learning environment, and a well-established SEN team who provide guidance and support to all staff.
Key Responsibilities*Providing one-to-one support for pupils with SEN
*Supporting small group interventions in literacy and numeracy
*Assisting pupils with communication, focus and engagement
*Following EHCP targets and adapting support strategies
*Working closely with teachers and the SEN team
The Ideal CandidateThe school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who:
*Has experience supporting pupils with SEN
*Is patient, calm and adaptable
*Can build strong relationships with pupils
*Is proactive and able to use initiative
*Works well as part of a team
Experience with autism or speech and language needs is highly desirable.
