Mechanical Handling Engineers
Certain Advantage is hiring for Mechanical Handling Engineers based in the Southwest area.
This role is on a permanent basis and is hybrid-based.

The Role:
This role is for a Mechanical Engineer—someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results-oriented and driven to succeed.
You’ll be leading a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:
*Working collaboratively with the Customer within the Mechanical Handling and Building Services teams to provide technical support on non-nuclear and nuclear mechanical handling assets and facilities within the site.
*Supporting the Mechanical Engineering lead in key delivery projects.
*Providing technical support to the ongoing operations and maintenance of DRDL’s extant mechanical handling assets
The Individual
We’re looking for people who can show:
*Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
*Relevant mechanical engineering experience in a highly regulated industry
*Knowledge and awareness of cranes, crane safety and associated mechanical handling systems
*Proficiency in the production of electrical/mechanical engineering drawings
*Proficiency in the production of hand calculations/FEA
*Experience in the design process and producing evidence of the design and substantiation of systems and components.
