Job Description:
Temp Purchase Ledger ControllerThatcham (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
£40,000 (Permanent equivalent)
Temp-to-Perm (subject to performance)OverviewAn opportunity has arisen for an experienced Purchase Ledger Controller to join a busy and fast-paced finance function based in Thatcham. This role will initially be offered on a temporary basis with a strong likelihood of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
The successful individual will take ownership of the purchase ledger process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong financial controls. This is a standalone role.
Key Responsibilities*Processing high volumes of supplier invoices, including matching to purchase orders and delivery notes
*Maintaining and reconciling the purchase ledger control account
*Preparing and processing supplier payment runs, including foreign currency payments
*Setting up and maintaining supplier accounts
*Investigating and resolving invoice queries with internal teams and suppliers
*Reviewing courier invoices and supporting recharge processes
*Managing petty cash, including reconciliations and float control
*Assisting with month-end and year-end processes
Skills & Experience*Previous experience in a purchase ledger / accounts payable role
*Experience using an ERP system (Epicor advantageous but not essential)
*Strong numerical and reconciliation skills
*High attention to detail and accuracy
*Ability to manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment
*Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across teams
Working Pattern*Hybrid working: 3 days office-based, 2 days remote
Package*£40,000 permanent equivalent Hourly Rate
