Business Development Director - BPO (Utilities / FinTech)
Location: UK wide
Salary: Competitive base + uncapped commission + executive benefits

The opportunity
We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Director to lead growth for a well-established Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) provider delivering outsourced solutions into the utilities and/or fintech sectors.
This is a senior, strategic role focused on winning new logos, expanding existing client relationships, and shaping go-to-market strategy across complex, regulated environments.
Key responsibilities
*Own and deliver the new business growth strategy for outsourced solutions within utilities and/or fintech
*Identify, target, and secure enterprise and mid-market clients requiring BPO services
*Lead end-to-end sales cycles: prospecting, solution design, commercials, negotiation, and close
*Build long-term, trusted relationships with C-suite and senior stakeholders
*Work closely with operations, solutions, and transition teams to ensure proposals are feasible and compelling
*Develop and refine value propositions around cost reduction, efficiency, compliance, and customer experience
*Maintain strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and market trends in utilities and fintech
*Represent the business at industry events, forums, and client meetings
About you
You will be a proven BPO sales leader with a strong track record of closing complex outsourcing deals.
Essential experience:
*Senior-level business development experience within a BPO or outsourcing environment
*Demonstrable success selling outsourced solutions into utilities and/or fintech
*Strong understanding of regulated industries and associated compliance challenges
*Track record of closing six- and seven-figure deals
*Comfortable operating at board and C-suite level
*Strategic thinker with a hands-on, commercial mindset
Desirable:
*Experience across contact centre, CX, back-office, or regulated operations outsourcing
*Existing network within utilities, financial services, or fintech
*Experience contributing to pricing models, RFPs, and solution design
