Our client is a respected and forward-thinking Accountancy Practice known for delivering high-quality compliance, advisory, and business support services to a diverse portfolio of SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and growing organisations. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking a Practice Accountant to join their established team and play a key role in supporting their expanding client base.


As a Practice Accountant, you will manage your own portfolio of clients while supporting the wider practice team. This is a varied and client-facing role offering exposure to accounts, tax, and advisory work, with genuine opportunities for progression.


Key responsibilities to include:


*Managing a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors
*Preparing year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
*Preparing management accounts and providing financial insights to clients
*Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and providing mentorship
*Preparing corporation tax and personal tax returns
*Supporting clients with bookkeeping, VAT returns, and general accounting queries
*Assisting with business advisory projects, forecasting, and planning
*Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
*Building strong, long-term client relationships through proactive communication


As a successful candidate you will be qualified/PQ/QBE, with a background working within an accountancy practice with a strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and tax compliance. Confidence managing client relationships and explaining financial information clearly, abilty to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment together with a high attention to detail and strong organisational skills.


Experience using cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) is advantageous.
