Parking Enforcement & Permits Administrator
Location: Leicester
Salary:13.91 per hour
Contract: Temp 9 months
Hours: 37 a week
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Parking Enforcement & Permits Administrator to support the delivery of parking services. This role plays a vital part in the administration of parking enforcement and residents’ parking schemes, ensuring customers receive accurate advice, payments are processed correctly, and statutory deadlines are met.
You will work as part of a busy team, acting as a key point of contact for customers and providing administrative support across enforcement, permits, and legal processes.
Key Responsibilities
*Act as the first point of contact for all enquiries relating to on- and off-street parking enforcement and residents’ parking schemes, including handling challenging conversations professionally.
*Process and reconcile payments received by cash, card, cheque, telephone, post, online, and in person for Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) and permit applications.
*Investigate and resolve customer queries, including decisions to uphold or cancel PCNs in line with legislation, policies, and procedures.
*Process and control documentation and data exchanged between the Client and the DVLA.
*Identify, resolve, or escalate issues appropriately, recognising potential complaints at an early stage and following agreed procedures.
*Prepare correspondence and documentation relating to parking enforcement.
*Work collaboratively within the team, demonstrating a calm, professional, and proactive approach at all times.
*Produce spreadsheets and data reports using notice-processing software, MS Word, and MS Excel.
About You
You will be an excellent administrator with strong customer service skills and the ability to manage competing priorities within a deadline-driven environment.
Essential Skills and Experience:
*Experience in an administrative or customer service role
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*Ability to deal with challenging conversations professionally
*Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
*High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
