Buyer – Nottinghamshire - £28,000 (rising to £30,000 after probation)

This opportunity has arisen due to continued business growth and increased R&D activity, supporting exciting plans for future development. The company is a long-established and highly respected leader within its specialist industry.

*£28,000 starting salary, rising to £30,000 following successful probation

Key Responsibilities:
*Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with UK and international suppliers to ensure optimal quality, cost, and delivery performance
*Procurement: Source and purchase engineering materials, components, and services in line with company policies and requirements
*Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers to deliver cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency
*Quality Assurance: Work closely with the Quality team to ensure all purchased materials and components meet required specifications and standards
*Market Analysis: Conduct ongoing market research to stay informed of industry trends, pricing changes, and potential new suppliers
*Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchases and supplier performance
*Compliance: Ensure all procurement activity adheres to internal policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards

Requirements:
*Previous experience in a procurement role, ideally within an engineering or manufacturing environment
*Strong negotiation and communication skills
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
*Highly organised with strong attention to detail
