Job Description:
Robertson Bell is working with a not-for-profit organisation to recruit an Interim Part Time Procurement Manager. They need someone to stabilise the procurement function during a period of change.
The Role
You’ll manage day-to-day purchasing operations, oversee two part-time procurement officers, and lead a critical contract management project. Key responsibilities include:
*Processing supplier orders
*Managing relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple departments
*Negotiating supplier discounts and terms
*Identifying and cataloguing all organisational contracts
*Loading contracts onto the new service desk contract management system
*Supporting the organisation’s modernisation initiatives
What they’re looking for
*Previous procurement experience
*Communication skills: Diplomatic, calm, solution-focused approach. Ability to navigate competing priorities and resistant stakeholders without creating friction
*Delivery focus: Can-do attitude; prioritises completion over process
*Negotiation ability: Proven track record securing value from suppliers
*Relationship management: Balances empowerment of internal teams with central oversight
