Job Description:
Finance Director (Interim & Permanent)
Oxford | Hybrid
£100,000 - £120,000 + bonus (or day rate equivalent)
Immediate interim requirement + permanent opportunity
A market-leading technology business, part of a listed PLC group (c.£40m turnover, finance team of five), is looking to appoint a Finance Director to join its Executive Management Team.
Two options available:
*Immediate interim requirement (3 months+) to provide leadership cover
*Permanent role for long-term ownership
Operating across the UK, US, and Germany, this is a high-impact role partnering closely with the CEO and Group CFO. This role would suit a first-time Finance Director or an experienced Financial Controller looking to step up.
The Role
*Strategic partner to the CEO and Group CFO
*Lead financial planning, reporting, and performance across international operations
*Own budgeting, forecasting, and monthly management accounts
*Drive financial and operational performance
*Oversee ERP, systems, and process improvements
*Ensure strong financial controls, governance, and compliance
*Lead and develop the finance team
*Support Group initiatives, including M&A
About You
*ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
*Senior finance leader within technology, software, or advanced engineering
*Experience in multi-entity, international environments
*Strong technical grounding (IFRS, UK GAAP, tax)
*Experience with ERP systems and driving improvements
*Exposure to R&D accounting and cost control
*Confident operating at Exec level
