About the Role
You will be a key figure in expanding the organisation’s influence within the recruitment market. Your remit is to engage, develop, and convert small and medium sized recruitment agencies, positioning the organisation as the trusted partner of choice for temporary contractor solutions. This is a role for someone who thrives in a high performance environment, enjoys strategic selling, and understands the value of long term commercial partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development and Growth
*Drive high quality new business activity through structured outbound calling and targeted email engagement.
*Work closely with the Sales Director to execute a clear and commercially focused strategy for small agency development.
*Identify, approach, and convert new recruitment agencies beyond the existing portfolio.
*Research and target vertical markets aligned with contractor populations to maximise revenue potential.
*Support strategic growth initiatives and commercial projects as directed by the Sales Director.
Relationship Management
*Build influential, long term relationships with recruitment consultants and senior decision makers.
*Deliver consistent account management to ensure exceptional service, retention, and ongoing revenue growth.
*Attend client meetings, industry events, and hospitality engagements to strengthen commercial partnerships.
*Provide informed guidance on industry legislation and compliance to support agency decision making.
Communication and Engagement
*Communicate the organisation’s services with clarity, confidence, and commercial impact through telephone, email, and LinkedIn.
*Respond promptly and professionally to incoming enquiries from prospective agencies.
*Represent the organisation’s culture, values, and service standards with professionalism at all times.
Reporting and Customer Relationship Management
*Maintain accurate and detailed records of prospects, activity, and account profiles.
*Analyse referral data to identify opportunities for additional revenue and new business channels.
Financial Performance Measures
*Achieve a minimum of forty outbound calls per day or a minimum of two hours of talk time.
*Actively manage and prospect a portfolio of two hundred accounts.
*Grow your agency portfolio to one hundred first paid contractors per month.
Non Financial Performance Measures
*Deliver service excellence consistently.
*Demonstrate strong technical and industry knowledge.
*Build and develop relationships with both new and existing customers.
Skills and Experience Required
*Proven experience in a business to business sales environment, ideally within recruitment, payroll, umbrella, or contractor services.
*Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and credibly.
*Highly organised with excellent customer relationship management discipline.
*Self motivated, target driven, and commercially focused.
*Confident using LinkedIn and other digital communication tools.
