Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive – Birmingham

The Role
This is an excellent opportunity to take on a varied caseload of private client matters while working in a supportive and ambitious team. Responsibilities will include:
Essential Duties:
*Drafting wills and trusts
*Preparing Probate Applications
*Advising on and preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
*Court of Protection applications and advising elderly/vulnerable clients
*Managing both contentious and non-contentious probate cases
*Drafting deeds of variation and advising on gifts
*Estate and trust administration (small and large estates)
*Liaising with the Probate Registry, Land Registry, OPG, Solicitors and other third parties
Desirable Duties:
*Advising on trusts for pension and life insurance policies
*Inheritance Tax planning and asset protection strategies
*Advising on elderly client care issues and future planning
*Working with IFAs, accountants and internal teams on joint projects
Long-term, the role offers the opportunity to progress into a Head of Department position, including supervising and managing a team.
About You
You will bring:
*Qualification as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 2+ years PQE in private client law
*Strong experience across wills, probate, LPAs, trusts and estate administration
*Solid academic background and a proven track record of success
*A good understanding of legal practice, client care and ethical obligations
*Ambition, commitment and the drive to develop professionally within a growing firm

*Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 (DOE)
