Job Description:
Academic Coordinator
Location: Oxford City (Office-Based)
Contract: 6-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension
Pay: £28,000 - £30,000
We are seeking an Academic Coordinator to join our team in Oxford. This is a varied and rewarding role supporting the delivery of high-quality academic programmes, ensuring they are well-organised, delivered effectively, and completed on time.
The ideal candidate will have strong administrative experience within an educational setting, be highly organised, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Support the development and delivery of Academic Short Courses, Tutorials, and other academic programmes
*Participate in regular team meetings to ensure effective planning and project management
*Assist in developing and implementing new systems and processes to streamline operations
*Manage and prioritise workload efficiently, organising tasks as delegated by the Academic Lead
*Deliver comprehensive administrative support and programme coordination, both online and in person
*Support the development of new programme ideas, including research and engagement with prospective speakers
*Manage timetabling and scheduling of sessions, including the setup of online and on-site teaching spaces
*Maintain and update programme databases and oversee day-to-day administration for specific programmes
*Create course handbooks and syllabi, proofread academic materials, and prepare certificates and transcripts
Skills & Experience Required
*Proven administrative experience within an educational environment
*Excellent organisational and planning skills with strong attention to detail
*Ability to prioritise effectively and anticipate potential challenges
*Strong communication skills, with experience engaging with students (primarily via WhatsApp)
*Experience supporting programme development, management, and administration
*Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines
