Axon Moore are pleased to be working in partnership with a highly valued client in Preston as they recruit for an experienced Payroll specialist. This is a flexible and accommodating role which is being recruited on a part-time basis between 20-30 hours.

This role will be well suited to experienced payroll administrators who are seeking to achieve a more favourable work/life balance.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
*Collating monthly payroll data for circa 400 staff
*Resolving internal/external queries
*Reconciling payroll entries
*Ensure compliance with statutory benchmarks
*Calculating maternity/paternity pay
*Processing new starters and staff departures
*Administration of company benefits, overtime, commissions, etc.
*Maintenance of accurate employee records
*Reporting of pension data to scheme advisors
*Other ad-hoc duties
Required Skills and Experience:
*At least 2 years’ payroll experience
*Able to efficiently manage and organise their workload
*Microsoft Excel and Sage proficient
*Professionalism and confidentiality
*Keeping up to date with payroll practices and legislation
*A good understanding of PAYE, NI, RTI SMP, SSP and other HMRC statutory regulations
*Exceptional attention to detail
*Proactive and self-motivated in nature
*Able to work efficiently towards deadlines
