Job Description:
This Solicitor role is a 12-month fixed-term contract providing broad in-house legal support across commercial, research and healthcare matters within a leading NHS Trust. The position offers hybrid working and the opportunity to advise senior stakeholders on high-impact, regulated legal issues.

They are now seeking a qualified Solicitor to join their highly regarded in-house legal function, supporting a broad range of healthcare, research and commercial activity.
Description
As Solicitor, you will provide high-quality, commercially focused legal advice across the Trust, working closely with senior stakeholders and business functions. You will act as a trusted legal advisor, supporting complex clinical, research and commercial matters within a highly regulated environment.
Key responsibilities include:
*Providing legal advice across commercial contracts, healthcare law, regulation and governance
*Acting as a legal business partner to nominated departments, offering pragmatic and strategic advice
*Supporting research and development activity, including contract review, collaborations and partnerships
*Advising on intellectual property, data protection and regulatory matters
*Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial and research agreements
*Supporting policy development and governance frameworks
*Delivering legal training and guidance to non-legal stakeholders
*Managing and instructing external legal advisers to ensure value for money
*Keeping up to date with relevant legal and regulatory developments affecting the NHS and healthcare sector
Profile
You will be a qualified Solicitor with:
*Strong experience in commercial contracts and advisory work
*Exposure to healthcare, life sciences, research or regulated environments (desired, not essential)
*Experience advising a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
*A sound understanding of healthcare regulation and governance
*The ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly and pragmatically
*A commercial and solutions-focused approach, with confidence working autonomously
Job Offer
Starting salary from £66,000 + depending on experience
NHS pension and benefits package
Hybrid working - 2 days per week in the office (negotiable)
