Commercial Account Executive
Location: Leicester area
Salary: £45,000 - £70,000 + benefits

Role Summary
This is an opportunity for an experienced Commercial Account Executive to take over a warm, well-maintained cross-class portfolio over a structured handover period. You will focus on servicing and retaining quality mid-market clients, with the upside of optional new business rather than pressure from day one, in a stable team environment with strong local benefits.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of an existing cross-class commercial book, giving you immediate responsibility and stability without needing to move clients on day one or after covenants
Manage renewals, insurer negotiations and client strategy across mid-market risks, helping you deepen technical capability across multiple classes
Deliver high-quality client service to retain and grow accounts over time, building long-term relationships and a strong reputation in the local market
Work through a planned 12-month handover of the portfolio, allowing you to embed yourself properly and set up future success
Identify and act on new business opportunities where appropriate, giving you upside without an unrealistic target-driven environment
Requirements
Proven experience servicing commercial insurance clients within a brokerage environment
Comfortable handling mid-market accounts (typically £50k+ GWP) across cross-class commercial lines such as property owners, fleet, contractors combined, PI, engineering and casualty
Strong technical knowledge and confidence managing renewals, markets and insurer relationships end-to-end
A steady, client-first approach - someone seen as a safe pair of hands who can take ownership of a portfolio
