Job Description:
Main Purpose *To ensure the proactive management of all aspects of Direct Payment Accounts across contracts
*To validate and approve time sheets and invoices for payment in line with fixed budgets
*To ensure the accuracy of data and completion of declaration is in line with Pension Regulatory compliance for Direct Payment Employers
2.Responsibilities of Job *Manage Direct Payment accounts, ensuring receipt and chasing of client contributions and council funds, to ensure sufficient funds to make payments.
*Liaise with Finance and local authority to act immediately in assisting the setup of accounts and receipt of client funds.
*Accurately upload and approve invoices and time sheets for payment, ensuring quality checks are made to identify and resolve discrepancies.
*Ensure the efficient, timely and effective processing of payroll and invoices for DP Holders and their PA’s.
*Ensure payment journals are accurate and uploaded to X-Ledger.
*Maintain accurate and up to date customer details and records for all DP Holders on CRM, payroll, and accounting systems.
*Ensure responsibilities are met regarding pension scheme setup and auto enrolment, along with employee and employer payments.
*Monthly reconciliation of all accounts and provide data for KPI’s to be reported to commissioners.
*To work with EAG colleagues to manage customer relationships and address day to day issues and enquiries, including the management of ceased accounts, in line with DP Holder preferred communication methods.


*Recognise where customers may be vulnerable to financial or other abuse and take appropriate action to alert others to ensure they are appropriately safeguarded.

3. Person Specification *Previous payroll experience
*Experience of delivering excellent customer service through a range of mediums including face to face, telephone and email.
*Able to use initiative to assist with problem solving and to escalate promptly where required.
*An eye for detail and a get it right first time’s attitude
*Excellent numeracy, written and oral skills
*Excellent administrative skills, able to organise a wide range of information.
*Able to self-organise workload to meet fixed deadlines.
*IT literate with experience of Microsoft applications and familiarity with finance and payroll software packages
*Able to occasionally commute to the Chelmsford office


Desirable
*Experience of working in a fast-moving payroll environment and/or assisted with direct responsibility for client accounts.
*Experience of working on pension administration and/or with knowledge of pension regulatory compliance
