Job Description:
This Team Leader opportunity is built for someone who knows how to run a serious injury function properly. Not just from a technical point of view, but from a leadership one as well. You will be overseeing complex, high-value personal injury work in a part of the market where judgement matters, experience matters and weak management gets found out quickly.
You will be leading a specialist team handling serious injury claims linked closely to the insurance sector. The work is demanding, sensitive and often high profile. It needs someone who can balance technical credibility with calm, effective leadership. This is not about supervising from a distance. It is about setting standards, improving performance and giving capable people the right direction without smothering them.
As a Team Leader, you will remain close enough to the work to add value while also taking responsibility for team performance, file quality and case strategy. You will be expected to bring structure, consistency and commercial awareness to a serious injury environment where the detail matters and the wider insurance context cannot be ignored.


What you’ll be doing:
*Leading a team handling serious injury and complex personal injury claims
*Overseeing file progression, technical quality and litigation strategy
*Supporting and developing fee earners working on high-value matters
*Acting as a senior point of contact on liability, causation, quantum and risk
*Monitoring performance, workflow and service standards across the team
*Working closely with stakeholders across the wider insurance landscape
*Driving a steady, credible culture focused on quality rather than noise
