The role:
You’ll be the person who keeps things moving behind the scenes accurately, efficiently, and without fuss.
Day to day, that means:
*Making sure everything aligns with SRA and Law Society Accounts Rules
*Handling client and office receipts without things slipping through the cracks
*Managing disbursements and third-party payments
*Supporting credit control (and not avoiding the awkward conversations)
*Calculating and managing client interest
*Assisting with audits (internal and external)
*Owning the purchase ledger and expenses process
*Keeping petty cash in check
*Working closely with PAs on monthly billing
*Resolving ledger queries without drama
What do you need?
*At least 2 years’ experience as a Legal Cashier (or very close to it)
*A good understanding of SRA Accounts Rules
*Attention to detail that borders on obsessive (in a good way)
*The ability to manage volume without letting standards slip
*Confidence working with finance systems and Excel
*A calm, organised approach when things get busy
*And the kind of communication style that makes people actually want to work with you
