Youth Support Worker – Cardiff
Start Date: ASAP (subject to vetting checks)
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay: Weekly via Teaching Personnel
Holidays: 12 weeks per year (school term-time only)
Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a real difference in their lives? We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and resilient Youth Support Worker to work within a supportive school setting in Cardiff.
This is a full-time, long-term opportunity, ideal for individuals with a background in youth work, care, or those looking to gain experience within education.
The Role:
*Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
*Building positive and trusting relationships with young people
*Assisting in managing challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner
*Working closely with teaching staff to support learning and development
*Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence in students
The Ideal Candidate:
*Experience working with young people (youth work, care, coaching, or similar)
*Strong behaviour management and communication skills
*Calm, patient, and resilient approach
*Passion for supporting vulnerable or disengaged learners
*A genuine interest in education or youth support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
