Job Title: Collections Specialist (Financial Services – Early Arrears)
Location: Hybrid Working
Salary: Competitive (Dependent on Experience)
Job Type: [Permanent / Fixed-Term – amend as needed]
The OpportunityWe are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Business Finance Provider operating across the UK, offering a supportive and professional working environment.
This role is suited to an experienced Collections professional within financial services, with a strong background in early-stage arrears management.
The Role*Manage and chase arrears on accounts up to 60 days overdue
*Work proactively to bring accounts back into good standing
*Build strong relationships with customers to ensure prompt and sustainable repayment
*Apply late payment interest where applicable
*Liaise with internal teams to ensure accurate payment allocation
*Carry out general collections administration
*Ensure all activity is conducted in line with regulatory requirements and internal policies
About You*Minimum 2 years’ experience in financial services collections
*Proven experience handling early-stage arrears
*Strong communication and negotiation skills
*Ability to manage workload effectively and meet targets
*Confident decision-maker with a proactive approach
*Comfortable working independently and within a team
*Good Excel skills
*Experience within asset finance environments is advantageous
Working Pattern & Benefits*Office-based for the first 4–5 weeks (training period)
*Hybrid working thereafter (minimum 2 days per week in the office, subject to performance)
*Pension scheme
*On-site parking available
*25 days’ annual leave (pro rata)
