Credit Controller - Winnersh - 4 week contract (could be extended)- £15 - £16 per hour + holiday pay
Role Overview
The Credit Controller is responsible for managing and collecting a high-value aged debt ledger ranging between £3 million and £6 million. This role requires a proactive and persistent approach to collections, strong relationship management skills, and the ability to reduce overdue balances while maintaining positive customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Debt Collection & Ledger Management
*Take full ownership of an aged debt portfolio valued between £3m-£6m
*Proactively chase outstanding invoices via phone, email, and written communication
*Prioritise and manage high-risk and significantly overdue accounts
*Negotiate payment plans and settlements where appropriate
*Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records
Cash Flow & Risk Reduction
*Work to reduce debtor days (DSO) and improve overall cash flow
*Identify potential bad debts early and escalate where necessary
*Monitor customer payment behaviour and flag credit risks
*Support the preparation of weekly/monthly aged debt reports
