Astute Recruitment are working with a well-established and growing business based in Sutton in Ashfield to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk or Accounts Payable professional to join a busy and supportive finance team.
This role is fully office-based and would suit someone who is highly organised, detail-focused, and confident managing high volumes of purchase ledger invoices in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities – Purchase Ledger Clerk
*Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
*Scanning and inputting purchase ledger invoices onto the system
*Matching invoices to purchase orders (POs) and delivery notes
*Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies
*Managing supplier queries via email and telephone
*Performing regular supplier statement reconciliations
*Chasing approvals for unmatched invoices
*Maintaining accurate purchase ledger records and filing systems
*Supporting the wider finance team with accounts payable duties
Requirements – Purchase Ledger Clerk
*Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger Clerk / Accounts Payable role
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy
*Experience handling high volumes of purchase ledger invoices
*Confident communicator when dealing with suppliers and internal teams
*Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
*Good working knowledge of finance systems and Excel
