Job Description:
Are you a graduate or early in your career and want a role where you can genuinely make a difference? Join one of the UK’s largest charities and support people with mental health or physical health challenges back into work.

The role:

You’ll train as an IPS Employment Specialist, supporting people in the community to find and sustain employment.
*Manage a caseload of ~25 participants
*Deliver 1:1 support (CVs, job search, interview prep, in-work support)
*Work alongside NHS teams, Jobcentres, and local partners
*Engage employers to create job opportunities
*There are vacancies in Ealing, Brent and Hillingdon
This is a community-based role (no office or home working). You’ll work across partner sites such as Job Centres, council offices, and NHS services.

Important to know:

You’ll be working with vulnerable individuals, many of whom have experienced significant challenges. The charity classifies this as a high-risk environment, and safeguarding is a key part of the role—you may encounter safeguarding concerns in your day-to-day work.
It’s a challenging role where you’ll manage your own diary, work to targets, and juggle multiple priorities. There is a high level of lone working, but check-in systems are in place to support your safety. Being organised, resilient, and able to manage your own wellbeing is essential.

Training & development:

Full IPS training is provided, including online learning, shadowing, and ongoing support from your Team Leader. This is a practical, real-world role where you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting people with mental health needs, and build a career in the employment support sector.

What we’re looking for:

You don’t need direct experience, but you should have one of the following:
*Experience supporting vulnerable people (paid or voluntary), or
*12+ months in a target-driven role (e.g. sales, recruitment, customer service)
You’ll also need strong communication skills, empathy, and confidence working independently.

Details:
*Full-time, permanent (Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm)
*Community-based (no home working)
*Interviews: 18th May (in person)
*Start: 2–6 weeks from offer (not suitable for September starts)
