Job Description:
Temporary to Permanent Opportunity
The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a motivated Teaching Assistant to join a school on a temporary to permanent basis. This role involves supporting pupils academically, socially and emotionally, helping them to access learning and feel secure within the school environment.
The successful candidate will assist teaching staff across the classroom and contribute to creating a positive and structured learning experience for all pupils.
Main Duties
*Support pupils during lessons, activities and transitions
*Work with small groups or individual pupils as directed
*Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources
*Promote positive behaviour and support emotional wellbeing
*Encourage engagement, independence and confidence in learning
*Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times
Essential Qualities
*A calm, friendly and dependable manner
*Willingness to support pupils with a range of needs
*Good spoken and written communication skills
*Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively
*Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare
Experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not required as training and support will be provided.
Position Details
*Temporary contract with the potential for a permanent role
*Term-time only, full-time hours
*Appointment subject to satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks
