Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in South Liverpool. This is a full-time position offering the chance to make a real difference to pupils’ learning, development, and wellbeing every day.
You will work closely with class teachers to deliver high-quality learning experiences, support individual pupils, and lead small group or whole-class sessions when required. This is a varied and rewarding role in a school that values every member of its team.

Key responsibilities
*Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons
*Lead small group interventions and whole-class sessions in the teacher’s absence
*Provide targeted support for pupils with additional learning needs
*Assist in assessing pupil progress and contributing to reporting
*Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff
*Uphold the school’s safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times


What we’re looking for
*HLTA status or a teaching qualification (ECTs welcome to apply)
*Experience working with primary-aged children
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*A proactive, flexible approach and a genuine passion for education
*An up-to-date DBS or willingness to obtain one
