Mechanical Maintenance Fitter/Engineer
Double Days (6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm)
A well-established manufacturing business is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer / Fitter to join its on-site engineering team. This is a great opportunity to join a stable company operating within a busy production environment.
The RoleYou will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plant equipment, reducing downtime, and supporting the smooth running of production operations.
Key Responsibilities*Attend machinery breakdowns and carry out repairs
*Complete planned preventative maintenance tasks
*Fault find on mechanical systems and production equipment
*Repair and refurbish components when required
*Support improvement projects and equipment upgrades
*Maintain accurate maintenance records
*Assist with production changeovers and machine set-up
*Ensure health & safety standards are followed at all times
Requirements*Mechanical engineering qualification or time-served apprenticeship
*Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing or industrial environments
*Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
*Experience working with motors, gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulics or pneumatics
*Welding or fabrication skills beneficial
*Basic electrical knowledge advantageous
