Description
*Process and verify invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
*Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
*Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
*Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing reports.
*Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams regarding payment queries.
*Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
*Support the wider accounting and finance team as required.
*Contribute to process improvements within the accounts payable function.
Profile
A successful Accounts Payable Clerk should have:
*Experience in a similar role.
*Strong organisational and time-management skills.
*Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
*Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers and team members.
*A solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
*The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

The role is a 12 month fixed term contract, paying up to £38,000.
