Job Description:
Finance Team Lead (Income) Newport | £45,561 | Hybrid | 9-day fortnight
We are working with a values-led organisation at an exciting stage of growth, seeking to appoint a Finance Team Lead to take ownership of a key function within the finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident finance professional who enjoys leading people and improving processes, with the ability to make a tangible impact across the organisation.
The role Reporting to the Head of Finance Operations, you will lead a small team and take responsibility for the end-to-end income function.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Managing rent and service charge accounting processes
*Overseeing income reconciliation and ensuring robust financial controls
*Monitoring arrears and supporting income recovery activity
*Managing banking operations, including direct debits, BACS, and income allocation
*Driving process and system improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
*Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders across finance and operational teams
About you We are keen to speak with candidates who have:
*Proven experience in rent, service charge, or income accounting
*Experience within a complex or regulated environment
*Previous experience leading or mentoring a team
*Strong Excel and financial reconciliation skills
*A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement
