Teacher (Maternity Cover – Potential for Permanent Role)
Full Time | September 2026 Start | Salisbury
We are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive school in Salisbury to recruit a dedicated Teacher for a full-time maternity cover position starting in September 2026. This role also offers the opportunity to transition into a permanent position.
This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to work with a small group of secondary students (typically 3–5 pupils) who benefit from a calm, low-stimulation learning environment due to anxiety and emotional needs. Teaching takes place in a separate, purpose-designed building with just two classrooms, allowing for a highly focused and supportive approach.
The Role:
*Teach and support a small group of secondary-aged students
*Deliver pre-planned lessons, adapting content to meet individual needs as required
*Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
*Work closely with a dedicated Teaching Assistant at all times
*Support students’ emotional wellbeing alongside academic progress

About You:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
*Open to both mainstream and SEN teaching backgrounds
*A calm, adaptable, and compassionate approach to teaching
*Ability to build strong relationships with students who may experience anxiety or emotional challenges
*Driving is desirable but not essential – the school is a short 10-minute walk from the train station
