Senior Support Worker – Children’s ResidentialLocation: Lancaster
Salary: £41,346 (includes average of 8 sleep-ins per month)

As a Senior Support Worker, every interaction matters. Whether it’s asking "How was your day?", sharing a laugh over a board game, or offering encouragement during tough moments you’ll be helping young people feel safe, valued, and supported.

What You’ll Be Doing*Supporting young people with daily routines (school prep, meals, activities)
*Supervising and mentoring a team of support workers
*Ensuring the highest standards of care and support
*Promoting individuality — no "one size fits all" approach
*Monitoring care plans and producing reports for management
*Providing emotional support and building meaningful relationships
*Creating a warm, homely environment (including light housekeeping)
*Planning and participating in activities like park trips, movie nights, and creative projects
*Accurately updating records using electronic care systems (Clearcare experience beneficial but not essential)

Who We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for people who truly care and want to make a difference.
You will have:
*Minimum 1 year experience in a children’s residential setting
*Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential Care
*A full UK manual driving licence
*Experience supporting or mentoring team members
*Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
*Flexibility to cover shifts
