We are currently partnering with a Legal Firm working on behalf of local authorities based in East Midlands, who are recruiting for a Principal SEN Paralegal with management responsibilities to join their growing team on a permanent or locum basis.
This is a full-time position with a salary band of £36,000 to 43,000 (subject to experience) and locum role is negotiable on experience.


Duties will include (but are not limited to):
*To assist a team of Lawyers in the provision of a professional legal service to a range of public sector and not for profit clients regarding; Insurance Claims, Health and Adult Social Care, Education & SEN, Employment
*Advise upon and conduct matters on behalf of client organisations, to secure the proper contracting of services both for and on behalf of client organisations, both internal and external
*To provide support to Lawyers and act as a point of contract on a variety of cases, to include taking instructions and giving advice, carrying out research, preparing applications, drafting documents and correspondence
*To manage and lead a team of paralegals dealing with insurance CCL matters
*To make a positive contribution to the CCL team and contribute to the development, training or mentoring of colleagues where required


Skills and Experience required:
*A demonstrated understanding of the local government legal framework including practice and policy issues
*Evidenced ability to conduct legal research, interpret legislation and summarise the key points of relevant legislation and case law
